A liberal oriented person posted 20 things about Democrats on our guest wall earlier, of course from their perspective. I thought they deserved a response, so here you go. Their position is stated, followed by my response.

1. Democrats believe in higher education.

So do conservatives. Conservatives just believe that the individual should pay for it and not government by taxing other Americans and redistributing their hard-earned money.

2. Democrats believe in preserving the environment.

So do conservatives. But conservatives use logic in what decisions regarding the environment are ridiculous- like shutting down the majority of logging in Oregon over a spotted owl that turned out never to be in danger and also shutting down farmers’ water in California over a minnow if you can actually believe that.

3. Democrats believe in science.

So do conservatives. But most conservatives believe that God and science co-exist in the universe and that faith plays a huge role in individuals and families in leading morally strong and healthy lives. Conservatives also believe that since there has never been a fossil link found that links humans with any other animal, that at minimum there is no proof that men and women were created either way and that is what faith is all about.

4. Democrats believe that carbon dioxide is dangerous.

Really? Have you ever had a Coke or Pepsi? It is full of co2. The most it causes is a burp or two. If you are referring to the global warming scam, there are just as many scientists who say the Earth has gone through normal heating and cooling over many, many years to those that say man’s SUVs are causing the Earth to warm. It’s ridiculous and arrogant to think man can change the earth’s climate by driving automobiles.

5. Democrats do not believe that minimum wage created our nation’s unemployment.

Minimum wage didn’t create the massive unemployment we have now. That is due to the high taxation and regulation that scares off businesses from investing. All fixing a wage does is make employers hire less people because they only have so much to spend. Labor unions, however, with their extortion through threat of striking have created wages and benefits that companies like the auto industry cannot maintain without bankruptcy. This causes companies to outsource their labor to countries that allow the free market to determine wages and not labor union extortion.

6. Democrats do not believe armed rebellion is a viable alternative to elections.

Armed rebellions are not an alternative to elections unless the leaders become tyrannical. That is why the Second Amendment was put in place by our founding fathers. An armed citizenry is the last line of defense if a government ever becomes tyrannical and takes away the citizens private property and freedoms and thank God for that.

7. Democrats do not believe that corporations are people too.

Really? Last time I checked my 401k, I am part of several corporations via the stock I own in them. Corporations provide the goods and services we need want and desire like food, clothing, housing and fuel and provide the most jobs in the USA so I can earn a living to pay for those goods and services they created like my iPhone and my SUV.

8. Democrats do not believe that the sexual revolution created AIDS.

Half wrong. A revolution didn’t cause anything, as individuals make choices. But after that revolution hit in the 60’s, it became acceptable for many to have promiscuous, unprotected sex with either sex. It is a medical fact that the far majority of people with AIDS contacted it from male to male unprotected intercourse and shared IV drug use. It is also why bi-sexuality among women has increased over 300% in the past 15 years in the USA.

9. Democrats do not know the proper height for trees.

I don’t even know what you are trying to get to here but I am assuming it is another environmental wacko statement. If you don’t like trees being cut down then move out of your home and sell the majority of your furniture and never use paper again. They all come from trees. Trees are a renewable crop and vital for sustaining a modern society. Get over it.

10. Democrats do not understand decent God-fearing Americans need missile launchers at home.

The 2^nd amendment protects law abiding Americans right to possess any arm they want as long as they are lawful. Again, these arms are primarily not for hunting and not even for home protection but to protect the citizens from a potentially tyrannical government. The citizens deserve to be equally as armed as our government to keep them in check from suppressing the citizenry. If assault weapons are not needed to defend oneself, then why does the president surround himself with dozens of secret service agents armed with assault weapons?

11. Democrats do not understand that banning abortions for high risk pregnancies can be a positive experience for women.

Most conservatives don’t understand how so many women can carelessly have unprotected intercourse and then when a life is created with a living heartbeat, can order a doctor to just suck their brains out because the mother doesn’t want to take the responsibility to raise the child she created or at minimum give it up for adoption so a loving family can do so. Over 1 million babies are extinguished every year in America and the majority are not from rape, incest or the mothers health. They are because the mothers either didn’t abstain from sex or were careless in having unprotected sex and their solution for their chosen action is killing a baby inside themselves rather than giving it up for adoption where thousands want adopted babies.

12. Democrats do not understand that intelligent design is a proven scientific theory.

Since there is no actual fossil link between animals and man, there is no proof either way. If you want to be an atheist and believe that all this grandeur happened as a cosmic accident, you are free to do so. But keep in mind that 85% of Americans believe in the alternative, that there is a higher being and they had something to do with creating this universe and life.

13. Democrats do not understand that marriage is related to national security.

Don’t know what you are trying to get at, but I assume it is about gays. First of all, most Americans are against two people of the same sex marrying as a man and woman marry as it is a 5000 year old tradition across all religions. However most of Americans also don’t mind if two people of the same sex join together in a civil union so they get the same marital benefits of married couples. Forcing churches to marry two people of the same sex when it is against their beliefs is a classic violation of separation of church and state which you liberals love to bring up.

14. Democrats do not understand that the media is a threat to national security.

When a media becomes so biased in one direction, it is a threat to a nation as a true republic. Case in point: in Cuba, Venezuela and Russia, the media is pretty much run by the state and supports the state. There are no balancing sides to keep government accountable. Here in the USA, the majority of the media assaulted President Bush for 8 years and have done nothing but praise President Obama for 4 years. All of this while the country is 50% liberal and 50% conservative, yet the only media for conservatives today is Fox News and a little on talk radio. Liberals control ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, The New York Times, LA Times, Washington Times and most of the nation’s newspapers. This is not a media that takes care of both sides.

15. Democrats forgot that Hitler coined the phrase “separation of church and state”.

Huh? Last I checked, Thomas Jefferson wrote about the need to keep a government from imposing a religion on its people but as most Americans do not understand, is actually not written in the Constitution itself. The Constitution instead protects Americans’ right to practice any religion they would like without government interfering in it. It, however, does not give government the right to ban the speaking of “God” in schools and the public square or nativity scenes at schools, parks, etc. The Constitution guarantees freedom of religion in the USA not freedom from religion.

16. Democrats seem oblivious to the fact that most good Americans oppose gay marriage.

Yes, you got this right. 1 out of 20 isn’t bad. Most Americans support civil unions for gay people and leave the sanctity of the 5000 year old marriage tradition across major religions to that between one man and one woman and don’t force churches to marry two people of the same sex that is against what they believe.

17. Democrats seldom bring guns to crowded public events.

Really? Last time I checked, every time Obama went out campaigning, he was in very crowded places and dozens of his men around him were carrying not only guns, but assault weapons into extremely crowded places.

18. Democrats want to force innocent multi-millionaires to pay taxes.

No, it is better said this way. Democrats want working Americans to pay taxes so government can spend their money better than the individual can. Democrats want to buy votes by promising their constituents lots of free things that are paid for by seizing the private income of American citizens who work for it and at the point of a gun mind you. The IRS is the only entity in the U.S. that can force you to give them your money you work for and if you don’t, they can come to your house and arrest you at the point of a gun and put you in jail for it. No other creditor in the USA can do so. Most Americans are fine with limited government services like bridges, airports, roads, police, firemen, national defense but that’s about it. There were no such things as welfare, food stamps, Pell grants, Medicaid at this countries founding and for the next 150 years and U.S. citizens prospered and built this country without government giving them free health care along the way.

19. Democrats want to let gays vote.

Since when can gay people not vote? Conservatives support any American who supports conservative values of limited government, personal responsibility or free markets and could care less what skin color they have or what they do in their bedroom. Conservatives believe that a person’s sex life is private and should be kept in the bedroom anyway.

20. Democrats want to let immigrants vote.

You left out one word-“illegal”. Democrats want “illegal” immigrants to be able to vote. Why? Because illegal immigrants know democrats will give them lots of free stuff from the U.S. Treasury like free maternity care, free medical, welfare, food stamps, education, you name it because they know those people will vote for them in return. And all those people have to do is bypass all the “legal” immigrants to this country who spend an average of 10 years to legally get into this country and just cheat and sneak across a loosely protected border with loose federal enforcement of immigration laws. Conservatives gladly welcome legal immigrants who have helped build this country over the past 100+ years.
