Now Obama is Lying About his ObamaCare Lies

barack-obama This week’s Tea Party Address was based on one simple premise. Barack Obama is a liar. The last 5 years of his presidency is filled with numerous examples of his lies, but the most recent is pervasive, egregious, and intellectually insulting. These lies are surrounding his ‘signature legislation’ called ObamaCare. “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period.” Those are the words that Obama repeated over and over again as he worked to sell this freedom attacking, overhaul of the healthcare system to the American people. Those who accused him of lying were accused of being  fear mongers, racists, and extremists. They were told to stop living in the past and to move FORWARD. The people were told over and over again by Barack Obama that the government was not going to force a change in their plan. Obama’s White House, back in 2009, even went so far as to create a ‘fact check’ video to counter the accusation by critics that Americans with private health insurance plans would see those plans cancelled because of ObamaCare. Critics who could see through the snake oil, lie-filled sale of ObamaCare were accused of ‘twisting the President’s words’ and ‘taking things out of context’. With Obama’s deceptive attempt to lie about his promise that was based upon lies, Obama’s chickens are now coming come home to roost. The National Journal is a left leaning news site, yet even even they are fed up with Obama’s lies. In a recent article entitled “Lying About Lies: Why Credibility Matters to Obama”, Ron Fournier does not hold back. He calls out Obama on his continued lies to the people even going so far as to say that he is committing orchestrated deceit as he attempts to reinvent history.
It might not seem possible that President Obama could do more harm to his credibility and the public’s faith in government than misleading Americans about health insurance reform. But he can. The president is now misleading the public about his deception. In a speech Monday night to his political team, Obama said: “Now, if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you can keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed.” No, no, no, no, no–that’s not what the Obama administration said. What it said was: “That means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.” – President Obama, speech to the American Medical Association, June 15, 2009, during the debate over health insurance reform. “And if you like your insurance plan, you will keep it. No one will be able to take that away from you. It hasn’t happened yet. It won’t happen in the future.” – Obama, remarks in Portland, Ore., April 1, 2010, after the bill was signed into law.
Fournier also pointed out the difference between Obama’s adamant statement of ‘If you like your plan, you can keep your plan’ versus his attempt now at ‘clarifying’ his previous statement. As Obama covers up his lie with more deceptive lies, he reads what is an obviously prepared statement. The promise of being the most transparent administration in history, according to Fournier, instead lies to suit Obama’s political needs. It’s time for Americans to acknowledge a very stark and disturbing truth. Barack Obama is a liar. Is that change you can believe in?

  1. How many times does it take for a liberal to repeat a lie, over and over again, before it becomes the truth? Anyone counting?
