Agent: Bandits Who Killed Brian Terry Worked for Obama FBI in ‘Fast and Furious’ Scheme

A federal agent who exposed the Justice Department’s flawed gun-trafficking investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious says the FBI played a key role in events leading to the 2010 murder near Nogales, Ariz., of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

John Dodson, a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, contends that the bandits who killed Terry were working for FBI operatives and were sent to the border to do a drug rip-off using intelligence from the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.

“I don’t think the (FBI) assets were part of the rip-off crew,” Dodson said. “I think they were directing the rip crew.”

Dodson’s comments to The Arizona Republic amplify assertions he made in his recently released book, “The Unarmed Truth,” about his role as a whistle-blower in the Fast and Furious debacle.

Terry belonged to an elite Border Patrol tactical team sent to a remote area known as Peck Canyon, roughly a dozen miles northwest of Nogales, where violence had escalated because criminal gangs were stealing narcotics from drug runners known as mules. He was slain in a shootout with several bandits. Two assault-type rifles found at the scene were subsequently traced to Fast and Furious.

The operation, based in Phoenix, was launched in 2009 to identify and prosecute drug lords, but instead allowed guns to be “walked” into the hands of Mexican criminals. ATF agents encouraged licensed firearms dealers in Arizona to sell more than 2,000 weapons to known “straw buyers” who were working for cartels. Instead of arresting suspects immediately, surveillance agents took notes and let them disappear with the guns.

After the Terry slaying and an attempted cover-up within the Justice Department, Dodson provided evidence and testimony to Congress. His revelations, later verified by an Office of the Inspector General’s report, ignited a national scandal over Fast and Furious that resulted in a congressional contempt citation against Attorney General Eric Holder and the replacement of top ATF and Justice Department officials.

I would not put it past the federal government, especially when there is a demonrat in the white house.

All one has to do is think back to WACO. Since when do law enforcement personnel serve a search warrant to a second story window?

The federal law which prohibits military personnel participation in law enforcement activities was violated – it is extremely unlikely that the ARMY would put someone from the FBI or ATF inside an Abrams tank or a Bradley fighting vehicle, nor an M-88 armored recovery vehicle.

Hey. Lest you demonize hillary’s wife limpwilly or his Atty General Janet Reno. Hey. That aint fair. “What difference does it make now anyway?” Way to go hill!

Thank you for the update. Just as the founders warned, big government always ends in corruption.

Another 0bama failure that gets blamed on Bush.

But neither will suffer the consequences…and they laugh together.

This is the most corrupt regime in my lifetime. Bar none.

    • badbadlibs

It’s the most corrupt regime since hiter, but give the con man and his version of the gestapo time.

      • andreas

The New American Democratic Socialist Institution (NADSI) already has the Gay Gestapo in play. Soon to outlaw anything Christian because within the evil empire they have built, unless you celebrate gayness (silence will be taken as objection) you are out. The Purge of the military, the prosecution of chaplains and military personnel, the appointment of illegal judges (without 2/3s senate support) all are signs of the worst form of totalitarianism. The mantra is positive tolerance or you die. They fear Christianity because absolute truth threatens there egocentric wisdumb and the support of the left leaning propagandist “journalism” that spews a continuous stream of idiotorials through organizations like MSNBStupid.

        • badbadlibs

It’s the “positive tolerance” that will turn this world even more upside down then hitler’s gestapo ever dreamed of.
You nailed it. The left of these modern times is indeed well into exacting the “worst form of totalitarianism”.
For anyone to wonder how hitler’s regime took a strong foot hold in a civilized nation, wonder no more. Look around you, history is repeating.

Ever since the Operation Fast and Furious scandal began the media and the. Obama Administration called it a false scandal, a conspiracy theory for cooks. Why would the FBI have the drug cartel target our border? I believe they help the blood spilling cartel(s) because these socialist cretins intend to create more gun crime statistics. Is there going to be an investigation into the wrongdoings of the FBI agents in Mexico and to see how high up the ladder the involvement of high ranking FBI officials are involved? How much money did the FBI make off the guns and drugs? How much are the FBI agents making now in kickbacks with their involvement with the cartel(s)? How many deaths in Mexico has the FBI contributed to in their clandestine activities? As long as these FBI agents are left scheming the world isn’t safe. Why isn’t Attorney General Eric Holder having this investigated. Is he that complicit and or would such a thorough investigation bring evidence and depositions involving President Obama? How should Holder and the justice department justify the years of stonewalling and how can Holder and the justice department continue to neglect their oaths of office. How many more agents in the fields find themselves promoted to higher paying positions and how many may suddenly perish? Moreover, how many more innocent people will get killed by the cartel(s), emboldened and dangerously armed by the FBI?

I would like to know when the media will begin to count the thousands of murdered citizens of Mexico in the number of deaths directly attributed to the failed fast and furious scandal.

  • toma kay

Is it possible we can have our entire government impeached.

  • Purplesuiter

FAST AND FURIOUS was ALL ABOUT gun control. By allowing thousands of guns to make it south of the border oh-BUM-us was setting the stage for a move to repeal the second amendment.
He neglected to realize that people would talk about how there was ZERO government control over those weapons which led to those who believe in the second amendment to ensure the word got out which has happened so oh-bum-us had to abandon his game of destroy the second amendment.

  • http://www.blagoplanet.com/ Thomas Bodetti

What difference at this point does it make? A lot, the media continue to ignore the deaths of thousands of civilians south of the border, also allegedly murdered with guns provided by the fast and furious program, Where are the true journalists.
