          Funny how liberals forget their Democratic party filed suit, and won, to get military overseas ballots thrown out in Florida that year, on the technicality that they had no postmark on them. They came from bases and ships where there were no formal post offices, and were likely over 2/3 Bush votes (the military supports Republicans over 2:1). These were many thousands of votes, yet you never heard a peep about them being “disenfranchised” like you did others in the media that year. I would wager that, with as close as the election was that year in Florida, that if ALL the votes were counted (including the overseas military ones), Bush actually would have won on the votes themselves.

Bush allowed the deaths of 2,800 Americans on 9/11/01 when he knew on August 6, 2001 that a terrorist attack was going to take place and did nothing to improve national security until AFTER the attack, whereas Obama allowed 4 Americans to die on 9/11/12 when he pulled out Ambassador Stevens security detail on 8/5/12. I mean seriously, the airspace surrounding the Pentagon is suppose to be the most secured airspace in the world, and nothing is done to prevent a “plane” from hitting the Pentagon? And how about WTC #7 symmetrically freefalling hours after the other two buildings without a plane ever hitting it? Explain that one. Bush is also far and above Obama when it comes to the unemployment rate. Bush starts with it at 4.1% and finishes with it at 7.8%. Obama starts with it at 7.8%, gets it to 10% and now it’s down to 7.6%, or so. I haven’t looked in a while. How about that deficit? Bush finishes with it around $10 trillion, and leaves it up to Obama to pay for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Adding $3 trillion more to it. Bush and his father chased Bin Laden for 16 years, at least Obama had the balls to send in the SEALS to take him down. Bush took over 800 days of vacation as president. That’s over two years of his presidency while on vacation. Obama gets ridiculed for taking 90 days. Under Bush the stock market drops 6,000. Under Obama the stock market gains almost 10,000. Under Bush the housing market collapses. Under Obama it’s back on the rise, slowly, but rising. Under Bush the economy fails, putting the country into a recession. I believe they called it, the Great Recession. Under Obama the economy slowly improves. Yeah, Bush is so far and above Obama in every way. Let me know if I misstated anything.

            And don’t even mention more people are dropping out of the workforce than ever before, because that’s not true. More people are now working under the table for cash than ever before. Many are double dipping. Many are receiving disability for bogus claims. Supposedly 92 million are without work, yet there are no long lines wrapped around corners looking for handouts. About 12 million on welfare, and 45 million receiving food stamps, so how are these 92 million surviving? …by working under the table.

        This is wrong. Impeachment is like indictment and is brought by the house alone. Removal of the President follows a trial in the Senate in which the article of impeachment are tried. Nixon resigned under threat of impeachment. Clinton was impeached, but not removed, acquitted in Feb, 1999.
        Impeachment is a very effective way of bringing officials who are not performing their duties back to the law. If the goal is to cause President Obama to enforce the law and to come clean on the various scandals, a strong investigation and vote for impeachment might have that effect. At least, the charges would be aired in the process.

            My point is that impeachment has value in getting out information about the seriousness of President’s actions. With the mainstreet media carrying water for him, President Obama has no reason to change his illegal, extraConstitutional activity.

            The MSM has to cover an impeachment and likely will abandon their fawning coverage should one occur. This could be the beginning of the President’s lamest duck period if we had a House that stood up for the law and the Constitution.

            I think the House should impeach and try President Obama before the Senate. Just like President Clinton the prosecution would be covered. I agree that the 17th Amendment should be repealed. The House which was intended to represent the people then would be presenting the case to the states appointed representatives in the Senate. As Hamilton said the States would have their representatives in the Senate to approve treaties, give advice and consent on presidential nominations, sit in judgement in case of impeachment and etc.

            I’m sorry. You just don’t seem to get it. If the House impeaches, there WILL be a trial in the Senate, where a “prosecutor” presents all the evidence. This is such a novel event, the MSM cannot not cover it, it is “news” by any definition. Point by point and day by day, the malfeasance of this administration WILL be presented and Senators WILL have to vote to acquit or find guilty, i.e. they will be on record. If this occurs before the election, there will be many who will have to make a very tough decision, supporting a constitutional overreach by the President of the United States, a cover-up on Bengazi, IRS, or Obamacare or perhaps some will see the light. Either way, the electorate will know where they stand.

            The House Judiciary Committee decides whether or not to proceed with impeachment. If they do…
            The Chairman of the Judiciary Committee will propose a Resolution calling for the Judiciary Committee to begin a formal inquiry into the issue of impeachment.
            Based on their inquiry, the Judiciary Committee will send another Resolution to the full House stating that impeachment is warranted and why (the Articles of Impeachment), or that impeachment is not called for.
            The Full House (probably operating under special floor rules set by the House Rules Committee) will debate and vote on each Article of Impeachment.
            Should any one of the Articles of Impeachment be approved by a simple majority vote, the President will be “impeached.” However, being impeached is sort of like being indicted of a crime. There still has to be a trial, which is where the US Senate comes in.

            Here is the senates role for impeachment.

            The Articles of Impeachment are received from the House.
            The Senate formulates rules and procedures for holding a trial.
            A trial will be held. The President will be represented by his lawyers. A select group of House members will serve as “prosecutors.” The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court(currently John G. Roberts) will preside with all 100 Senators acting as the jury.
            The Senate will meet in private session to debate a verdict.
            The Senate, in open session, will vote on a verdict. A 2/3 vote of the Senate will result in a conviction.
            The Senate will vote to remove the President from office.
            The Senate may also vote (by a simple majority) to prohibit the President from holding any public office in the future.
            Get it now there will be nothing done. The senate makes all the rules for impeachment.

            The senate will meet in a private session to debate a verdict.

            The senate will vote to remove the president. I get all that.

            The media wont cover it I wish they would but they wont. When have they covered anything that has to do with this corrupt administration and followed it to the end?

            And even if they do cover it,, it will be so down played as if nothing is happening. The house will make it out to be really bad which it is. And the senate and MSM will down play it and try to make the house look like fools.

            Americans! What has happened to you? Do you know your history? Do you know the desires of those who fought a revolution to guarantee your rights, liberties and freedoms? A completely new form of government was demanded in our Declaration of Independence. All men are created equal. No one is born into royalty. We do not want the tyranny of a powerful government. We will have a government that governs only with the consent of the governed. Now look at what you have allowed with the 17th Amendment. You stopped the oversight of the government by the states. You have allowed a royalty of our own because you don’t think politics is important. Look at it. Our Congress has developed into what might be called a royal court. They create laws and then exempt themselves, their friends and their allies just as the Lords, Earls and Dukes that we rejected did. That’s not all. The king would make proclamations which were laws. Our president issues Executive Orders that essentially do the same thing. Isn’t that the same form of tyranny? How did we allow the Executive Branch to write rules and regulations that carry the weight of law to exist without the oversight of Congress which in the Constitution is charged with making law. To keep our remaining rights, freedom and liberty this must be checked. All rules and regulations that carry the weight of law should be approved by Congress and signed by the President before they can be enforced. My vote will express my convictions. What about you?

        BUT it begins with hearings in the House. Yes, perhaps the Senate may vote it down but it needs to be a resolution from the House. The Senate may not act; then again they may think twice when they see the wide-spread support for it and then take a moment of pause to consider whether worth their future to follow dingy Harry.         The House must make its declaration no matter which way the Senate will go. Not voting and proceeding to impeach just sends the message that if you have the right political backing we’ll just let you get away with your treasonous criminality. If they at least lay it on and endeavor to get national support and the people speak out, it will still have impact in stopping the dictator, backing him off, getting Senators afraid of losing their offices and on and on and on.       It would be helpful for some here to read the story of Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby. Obama is nothing but a Tar Baby for us silly rabbits to take swings at while Brer Fox (the Democrats) hide behind the bushes to watch and laugh and wait to make lunch of us.         Helen, I hope and pray that what I have outlined does not happen. But it can and will happen if we continue taking swipes at a lame duck who can only keep turning more voters off on his own and taking swipes at each other instead of the Senate Democrats who enabled the President. I get sick of looking at and listening to him too, but I want let myself get distracted from the real road block back to exceptionalism. The Democrat Senate. Remember, we need voters who pulled the other handle in the past. We don’t need to chase them away with our bickering and mud slinging among conservatives. 10 months left. We can focus on the growing, unfolding democrat disaster or we can fight among ourselves.

    How do you propose to impeach a President of the US when you at best hold only 45 conservative Senate votes? There is a good chance we will pick up 7 or 8 Senate seats in the 2014 and regain a simple majority IF you guys don’t screw things up fighting each other. We need to focus on the far left enemy instead of each other at this point in time. Impeachment and removal requires 67 Senate guilty votes, and I have to assume you know that. The President will take care of himself as he screws up quite frequently in opinion polls. Dispense with the impeachment distraction and focus on the Senate seats that really matter. You need to be airing the Senate Democrat echoes of the President’s lies and quit spending money to throw mud at other conservatives of varying degrees. Now is not the time to be fine tuning degrees of conservatism. Regain the power and then fine tune OR…. just keep it up and piss it all away without the first Dem firing a single shot.

      I would propose beginning the process — hold impeachment hearings, air the articles of impeachment that BHO has done (and there are many) and then pass the recommendation on to the Senate; they can ignore, they can try the case, they can vote but fail to impeach; but if the House holds the hearings, what they then cannot do, is ignore and pretend we the people, are not fed up with this!

    There are executive order going all the way back to President Teddy Roosevelt, and maybe further, that have become law and have never been repealed and/or cancelled by Congress. In the event of war, national emergency, fiscal emergency, civil unrest and or disobedience, etc. the sitting president has the authority to bypass/ignore the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, existing laws and regulations, Congress, etc. Subsequently, he can take control of the military and National Guard, and all state and local law enforcement agencies. Further, he can totally control ALL aspects of you life, both public and private. He can arrest you, take your property and possessions, put you in a concentration camp (remember the Japanese in WWII?), keep you incognito without any of your rights, well I think you get the picture. And people, we are only a pen stroke away from just that. Think about everything that has been happening. Where do you think it is heading? Look up what I have said, I did. I told you what I think.     The IMPOSTER in the White House is not eligible for the office because he had a father that was a foreign citizen. The President must be a “natural born citizen” and have two or both parents as citizens of America. The phrase “natural born citizen” was taken from the “Law of Nations” in 1760. The “Law of Nations” was the accepted legal reference and educational law text of the era. In the Constitution, the Founders simply transposed or used the two-parent-as-citizen requirement in the “natural born citizen” phrase from the “Law of Nations.” The “Law of Nations defined “natural born citizen” as having both parents as citizens of the country. The Founders required candidates for the Presidency, the highest office in the land, to be “natural born citizens” to prevent “foreign allegiances.” To be eligible, both of the President’s parents must have been citizens.

    The Supreme Court failed to uphold the Preamble/Constitution and enforce the Constitutional requirement of the candidate and officeholder that he have two or both parents that are citizens. The Supreme Court acted on a political agenda not its Constitutional duty to implement, support and uphold the literal Preamble/Constitution.

    It matters not if one is a liberal or conservative, democrat or republican, a candidate for the Presidency must have two or both parents that are citizens; in other words, he must be a “natural born citizen.” The Supreme Court committed the crimes of negligence and dereliction of duty as the Preamble/Constitution was nullified and voided in the case of the officeholder’s eligibility.

    B.O. needs to be sued for at least ten “scandals.” Each should cost him ten million dollars. Once the lies, failures to function according to his oath of office, corrupt activism against citizens of the USA, etc. have been proved, then decide whether to impeach or not. The $ from said lawsuits should be applied to the national debt, and tho’ a mere drop in the bucket, it would provide impetus for other corrupt lawmakers to behave or pay their fair share, too.     60 Senators are already “on record” as voting for and passing Obamacare. People understand first hand the ill effects of Obamacare and will more so in the coming months before the 2014 election. Lets focus on that. The voters understand that vividly. You can’t humiliate the Idiot in Chief with a House Impeachment slap any better than he already humiliates himself. Best focus on humiliating and unseating those Dem Senators who voted to bring misery on the voters. Don’t get sucked into and mired down in making a point with a tar baby who is leaving in 3 years.
