Many people have been asking, “Where is the Tea Party and where are those big rallies you used to have?” The answer is simple; the day of millions marching at the Capitol and other places were good in the beginning, but now we are organized and making things happen. As a grassroots movement, our agenda has been heard, and our movement is growing and maturing each and every day. We have taken the Tea Party into the cyber world–much as the Democrats did to help Barack Obama win in 2008. Sometimes we have to acknowledge when our opponents do something better than we do, and in 2008 the Democrats understood the power of the internet and social media to organize and get their people out to vote. Yet, once we conservatives realized this power to organize millions via email, Facebook, Twitter, etc., we have always done it better! And for the past 3 years, TheTeaParty.net has been doing exactly that. We currently have over 1.5 million active Tea Party members that follow the movement daily via the internet. These patriots are out educating and recruiting like-minded Americans to be ready to vote out Barack Obama and the progressives in both parties in November.
To understand the power the Tea Party wields, one must only look at what we already have accomplished. We helped take back the House in landslide fashion in 2010 and have since gone on to instill conservative politics at the state level with conservative governors and state assemblies. And when the liberal media tried to convince everyone that “The Tea Party Was Dead”, we proved them wrong again in Wisconsin when we stopped the union thugs and liberals from their unjust recall of Governor Scott Walker and other conservatives in the state of Wisconsin. As an illustration of the growing fiscal conservatism in this country, not only did Governor Walker win the recall, he did it with more votes that he received the first time he ran for Governor! And look at all the success he has had repairing that state from its overspending and debt misery. And we did it in a very blue state to boot. Yes, much to the chagrin of tax-and-spend liberals, the Tea Party is alive and doing very well!
I’ll discuss the Tea Party with people, and when people wonder if it is still a force with which to reckon, my answer is always the same: The Tea Party started as flag-waivers with a legitimate gripe with the direction this country was heading. Our concerns were not immediately taken seriously, but through grassroots activism, we made a difference to the point that we elected a caucus in 2010, and the vice-presidential nominee is a fiscal conservative. Now, the question for the Tea Party leaders is not, “Where should we show up with a megaphone?” The question is now, “How many seats in Congress can we get?” In short: the movement is maturing and has become a legitimate, vital part of government. While I’ll always love witty signs outside the Capitol, I appreciate having champions of fiscal sanity inside the Capitol even more. Where are our rallies now? They’re at the voting booths- because the Tea Party caucus did not get there on their own; they were voted in by people looking to take their country back.
Our grassroots movement is succeeding on the Hill. Furthermore, it is succeeding without the help of special-interest lobbyists, but relying on patriots all across the country that want a better direction for the United States. We are strong and organized and, after the election, we will see quarterly Tea Party caucus meetings to discuss the direction our movement is heading.
It is important to not believe all the liberal media polls out there. It is being proven that these polls are oversampling Democrats by an average of 8% to 10%. They believe that Barack Obama is going to get that many more Democrats out to the polls on November 6th. I believe just the opposite is going to happen. While these liberally-biased polls revolve around “wishful thinking” and best-case scenarios, the fact is that thanks to the efforts of the Tea Party, alternative media sources and the spreading of information through social media, it is getting harder and harder for Democrats to sell their half-truths and flat-out lies to the American people. We monitor social media on a daily basis and we are reaching over 25 million Americans every week in our social media. We are able to do this because so many Americans are engaged in what we are posting. On Facebook alone, as of yesterday, we had over 2 million Americans engaged and talking about our posts! Meanwhile, if you go to Barack Obama’s Facebook page, he had only 1.4 million engaged and talking about his posts! And he is President of the United States with a multimillion dollar marketing budget. We do not have to spend anything to reach these millions of Americans every week because they are reaching out and finding us!
Folks, we see the daily enthusiasm levels from regular everyday moms, grandmas, dads, grandpas and everyday Americans that support individual liberty, free markets and personal responsibility and they are itching to go to the polls. I repeat, do not let the liberal media discourage you and do not be discouraged because you do not see large rallies at the Capitol any longer. Our rallies are taking place in Cyber space. Our biggest rally ever is set to take place on Election Day and it will shock the world! Not only is Obama not going to get an 8% to 10% advantage in Democrat turnout, it is going to be reversed and the conservatives turning out to vote in Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will exceed those of the Democrats!
At TheTeaParty.net, we just hired a nonpartisan polling agency out of Utah to conduct our first poll in the State of Nevada to see if those liberal polls were accurate. This poll was taken even before Obama’s debate debacle. The poll sampled likely voters in the State of Nevada who had voted in at least one of the past two elections and no advantage was given to either Democrats or Republicans. The results were 52% for Mitt Romney and 43% for Barack Obama! This is exactly what we have been seeing in enthusiasm in social media from conservatives while Democrats suffer from lethargic, phoned-in enthusiasm.
All across the country, fiscal conservatives are not only fed up with the direction this country has been heading these last four years, but people are scared. Enthusiasm is running high on the right, meanwhile enthusiasm for Barack Obama has quieted to a begrudging trickle of what it was in 2008. While many fiscal conservatives will show up to vote out Obama, the lackluster enthusiasm of the left will greatly diminish the voter turnout for the incumbent president who has delivered our country from bad to significantly worse. Maybe not every independent or moderate Democrat will vote for Romney, but they are not voting for Obama, either.
My fellow Americans, Tea Party Americans are ready to flood the polls on Election Day and we ask you to be a part of history and be there as well. God Bless the United States of America.
